Software transitions we handle
- QuickBooks Desktop → QuickBooks Online, including list clean-up before the move
- QuickBooks Online ⇄ Xero in either direction
- Sage 50 → QuickBooks Online or Xero
- Wave, FreshBooks or Zoho Books → QuickBooks Online or Xero
- Spreadsheets or paper → cloud accounting
- Property management books to or from Buildium, including properties, owners, tenants and opening balances
- Other systems on request: if your software can export data, we can usually move it
What we move
- Chart of accounts, mapped to the new software
- Customers, vendors, products and services
- Opening balances, or full transaction history if you need it
- Open invoices and bills, so receivables and payables carry over correctly
- GST/HST, PST and QST tax codes and balances
- Bank and credit card accounts, with reconciliations carried forward
- Payroll year-to-date figures where required
- Attachments and supporting documents where the software allows
How a migration works
- 1
Review & plan
We review your current books, fix problems before the move and agree a cut-over date, usually a month-end or year-end.
- 2
Map & move
We map accounts, tax codes and lists to the new software and transfer the data.
- 3
Check every balance
Trial balance, receivables, payables, bank and sales-tax balances are compared with the old system until they match.
- 4
Go live & train
Bank feeds and integrations are connected, your team is trained, and we can keep the books for you from then on.
