  • Records of Employment (ROE) when employees leave
  • WSIB premium returns and annual reconciliations for Ontario employers
  • Ontario EHT, BC EHT and workers’ compensation reporting in other provinces (WorkSafeBC, WCB, CNESST)
  • Payroll journals posted automatically to your books

WSIB returns and reconciliations

Ontario employers covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) must report insurable earnings and pay premiums on schedule, then reconcile what they reported against actual payroll each year. Mistakes lead to penalties, interest or overpaid premiums. We take care of it from your payroll records.

  • WSIB account registration for new employers
  • Monthly, quarterly or annual premium reporting and payment reminders
  • Annual reconciliation of reported vs actual insurable earnings, filed on time
  • Insurable earnings worked out correctly, including the maximum per worker
  • Premium rate class review, so you are not paying the wrong rate
  • Clearance certificates for contractors and subcontractors in construction
  • Reconciling WSIB payments and balances in your books every month
  • The same service for WorkSafeBC, WCB Alberta and other provincial boards

Key deadlines we keep you ahead of

Most small employers are regular remitters, so source deductions are due to the CRA by the 15th of the month after the pay date. T4 slips and the T4 Summary are due by the last day of February. WSIB annual reconciliations for Ontario employers are generally due by March 31 for the previous year. We track these for you and send reminders well in advance.

Payroll & WSIB: common questions

Do you support payroll in every province?

Yes, including Quebec, where QPP, QPIP and RL-1 slips apply and Revenu Québec handles provincial deductions.

Do you file WSIB returns and reconciliations?

Yes. We prepare and file WSIB premium returns for Ontario employers, complete the annual reconciliation of insurable earnings, check your rate class, get clearance certificates for contractors, and reconcile WSIB balances in your books. We do the same for WorkSafeBC, WCB and other provincial boards.

When is the WSIB annual reconciliation due?

For most Ontario employers, the annual reconciliation for the previous year is due by March 31. We send reminders and file it for you from your payroll records. Check your WSIB account for your own deadlines.

Can you handle contractors as well as employees?

Yes. We track contractor payments and prepare T4A or T5018 slips where required, and we can flag workers who may need to be treated as employees.
